The Kapfhütte is open all year round as a refuge for hikers.

Up here, you can enjoy a fantastic view over the Elz valley, across to the Kinzig valley, up to the Brandenkopf and into the distance as far as the Hornisgrinde, the highest mountain in the northern Black Forest.

It is open on Sundays and public holidays from May to the end of October. Outside of these times, catering for groups is possible on request.
