Karlsruhe
“Karlsruhe is very inexpensive, pleasant and friendly,” wrote the composer Richard Wagner to his wife Minna in 1861. A verdict that visitors to Karlsruhe are still happy to agree with today. On the one hand, this is certainly due to the mild climate: Karlsruhe is one of the warmest and sunniest cities in Germany. But above all, the guests were impressed by the friendliness and warmth of the people of Karlsruhe.
