The idyllic Lake Schlüchtsee is a bathing lake in a nature preservation area. One third of the lake is inhabited by water lilies and ducks. Bathing is not permitted in that section. Surrounded by a full-grown forest, the romantic lake has a sunbathing lawn with a shallow shore where small children can splash about under supervision. Boats are not permitted on the lake. A little further up from the sunbathing lawn is a snack bar with a sun terrace, changing rooms, and sanitary facilities.
The lake and its amenities are a wonderful place to cool down and unwind – pure relaxation! In the winter, the lake is especially beautiful when it’s frozen and framed by snow-covered trees.
The lake can be reached by foot from Grafenhausen via the Promenadenweg in about 30 minutes. From Rothaus, it is a 15 minute walk via the Schlühüwanapfad.
A snack bar with a sun terrace in the summer, changing rooms, and sanitary facilities are available.
Boat trips are not permitted.
