Lossburg and its attractive districts
Loßburg is a climatic health resort with a population of around 3,400, idyllically situated at the beginning of the Kinzig valley and a unique nature trail called "Zauberland an der Kinzig" ("Magic Land on the Kinzig") around the source of the Kinzig. The sunny elevation offers incomparable views all the way to the foothills of the Alps.
If you are looking for the authenticity of the Black Forest, you will find it in the highest district of Schömberg, winner of the silver medal in the "Our village should become more beautiful" competition, or in the "Farming village" 24-Höfe.Village atmosphere, traditional farms surrounded by meadows and fields, simply pure nature.
Historical stories from days gone by await you in the "historical village" of Sterneck with its 13th century castle ruins of the same name.
The same applies to the "Almannendorf" Wittendorf, which has many historical tales to tell from days gone by with its weapon graves, the historical village centre and the granary.
In Betzweiler-Wälde, the largest district of Lossburg, you will find lovingly restored churches and the listed historic Heimbachmühle mill at the beginning of the "Heimbachaue" nature reserve.
In close proximity to the mother village of Lossburg is the tranquil "parish village" of Lombach. A small, wildly romantic side valley created for long walks.
