Author's recommendation
In 1999, hurricane "Lothar" brought down large areas of forest on the Schliffkopf. On the 900-metre-long educational trail at the Black Forest High Road (Schwarzwaldhochstraße), you can observe how nature develops when left to its own devices after such an event. The trail was opened at the Schliffkopf on the Black Forest High Road at the end of June 2003. There is no entrance fee, but there is a donation box at the end of the path.
