The tour starts at St Gangolph's Chapel in Lautenbach. Turn right past the church to the edge of the forest. Turn left uphill and follow the hiking trail with the blue dot to Col du Bannstein. At the car park there, turn right and at the next fork, take the left-hand path, following the yellow cross markings. In the bend to the right, descend steeply to the left, continuing to follow the yellow cross. After approx. 200 metres, at the hiking trail junction, continue straight ahead, now following the yellow dot to Val du Pâtre. At the next fork in the hiking trail, continue straight on to the Schaefertal chapel in Soultzmatt and return here after visiting it. From the chapel, turn left downhill and follow the red diamond to Orschwihr. Follow the path through the forest. At the next junction, follow the wide path downhill to the left (still red diamond). At the end of the Chemin du Château, continue straight on downhill. At the entrance to Orschwihr, go straight on downhill into the centre of the village. Turn right at the stop and follow the main road to Bergholtzzell. In Bergholtzzell, take the second right to the church, before the church turn right uphill along Rue du Bois into the forest. Follow the path into the vineyard and turn right uphill at the hiking trail junction. At the end of the vineyard, go straight on through the gate into the forest and follow the hiking trail along the rocks. At the top, take the forest path to the right and at the next fork turn half left to the "Dreibannstein" (yellow dot). There, at the hut, turn left and follow the blue dot towards Buhl. At the junction to Buhl, continue straight ahead, now following the blue dot towards Schweighouse.
At the hairpin bend, turn half left onto the path (no. 15) and at the next junction follow the white bar on a brown background uphill to the right. At the forest path, follow it downhill to the left and at the edge of the forest follow the blue dot back to the starting point of the tour.
