The climatic health resort of Nordrach lies in a picture-book Black Forest valley. With no disruptive through traffic, you will find a beautiful and varied landscape here, cultivated by hard-working farmers, good and healthy air and hospitable inhabitants.
The fruit distillery village of Nordrach was honoured by the Black Forest Nature Park as an initiative community because it was the first community in the Black Forest Nature Park to introduce new hiking trail signage with destinations and distances. Guided hikes to various destinations, hiking weekends and special experiences invite you to experience the beauty of our nature on 130 kilometres of signposted hiking trails. The landscape of the charming Nordrach Valley is best explored on guided hikes, the Obstbrenner Trail, the Höhenhöfe Hiking Trail or the Nordrach Legend Trail. Learn interesting facts about fruit distilleries on the 20-kilometre-long fruit distillery trail and savour fine brandies and liqueurs. Not savoured enough yet? Then you should definitely try handmade chocolates, sparkling "Nordracher Apfelsecco", a rustic farmer's snack or the good Baden cuisine in Nordrach.
A visit to the historic Maile-Gießler mill at the entrance to the village is always worthwhile, and right next door the HeilKräuterGarten with its 160 different herbs invites you to explore. The millstone chapel, right next to the rustic farmhouse where the "Vogt auf Mühlstein" once lived, is also worth a visit. The best way to find out about the tragic story of Magdalene and Hans, which took place on the millstone, is to visit today's inn.
Over 3500 exhibits such as fine porcelain, dolls, embroidery and model cars are waiting to be marvelled at in the Doll and Toy Museum.
