Beschreibung
From the "Bahnhof/Kurpark" the hiking trail leads past the Catholic church on a small path over the "Hildahain" and joins Markgraf-Bernhard-Straße, which you follow to the right until the end. A narrow path leads over serpentines through the forest to a clearing above the village. Here, a bench with a beautiful view of the opposite side of the valley and the Hornisgrinde invites you to linger. Continue on a natural path through the forest over the "Eichkopf". There you will reach the "Sausteig" drinks station. The rest area invites you to take a first break. Enjoy a cool drink at the drinks fountain.
On arriving at the Eichkopf hut, the trail leads via the Blöchereckstraße to the "Holderbrünnele"and in narrow serpentines downhill to the entrance to the Edelfrauengrab waterfalls.
.
After just a few metres you reach the lower waterfalls with the so-called "Edelfrauengrab", a natural scouring cave. In this section, the Gottschlägbach forms several waterfalls up to eight metres high and overcomes a height difference of more than 100 m in a short distance. The trail leads along the stream, through the nature reserve to the "Romantische Brückle". As it continues, the valley widens and you finally reach the beverage fountain in the upper "Gottschlägtal" after approx. 2 km, where a steadily ascending path branches off to the left in the direction of Herrenschrofen/Karlsruher Grat.
From the Herrenschrofen rock pulpit, you have an interesting view of the deep valley incision of the Gottschlägtal. Now it is only a few steps to the via ferrata on the Karlsruher Grat. Once there, there are two options:
a) via the via ferrata to the Bosensteiner Eck.
b) the bypass via the Dreierschrofen to the Bosensteiner Eck. This is signposted with the Genießerpfad trail markings.
From "Bosensteiner Eck" the trail leads along extensive pastures to Brennte Schrofen. Here, a refuge built by the forest owner invites you to rest and linger. The lookout rock in front of it offers magnificent views of the town of Ottenhöfen in the Black Forest and its numerous side valleys. Continue to the "Wachholderberg" where you turn left and hike through a coniferous forest to the idyllic Flautzbach. Along the Flautzbach valley, with moss-covered old stone walls, you continue towards Hubersloch. On the way there, you can make a small detour to the Bromberg drinks station. Enjoy the wonderful view into the side valley. Before you continue on the connoisseur's path to the "Hubersloch". Here you leave the forest and Ottenhöfen with its picturesque side valleys stretches out before you. Before you continue along a meadow path, the so-called "Briefträgerweg" to the Bromberg. From here you have another beautiful view of Ottenhöfen in the Black Forest, a rotating sky lounger invites you to linger. Continue to follow the markings until you reach the road again. The trail leads a few metres downhill on the road to the signpost location "Bromberg". There you turn right. The hiking trail continues to the "Hotel Sternen" at the entrance to the village ("Hagenbruck"). After crossing Edelfrauengrabstraße and the bridge of the Gottschlägbach stream, you will come to Theresienweg. There you can visit the "Evangelical Church", which was built in the style of a Norwegian stave church. Opposite is the Historic Hammersmithy from the 18th century. The Hammerschmiede is idyllically situated on the Acher. Walk along Albert-Köhler Strasse back to the "Bahnhof/Kurpark".
