Welcome to the two sections of the Räuber Hotzenplotz nature adventure trail in Gengenbach in the Black Forest Centre/North Nature Park.
The big robber trail is mainly designed for "big robbers" (teenagers and adults) and connects unique biotopes over a length of around 4 kilometres. The small robber trail is also just under 4 km long and is intended more for "little robbers" (children of nursery and primary school age), although it is not suitable for pushchairs! Discovery rucksacks are available to borrow from the Tourist Information Centre in Gengenbach for the little "Hotzenplotz Trail". Equipped with identification books, binoculars, magnifying glasses and much more, everyone can learn even more about nature.
Experience nature - understand nature - protect nature
These goals are to be achieved through impressive experiences between man and nature on the levels of sensitising the senses, awakening aesthetic sensibilities, providing insights into unknown habitats and perspectives, interactive knowledge transfer and emotional bonding through experiences in nature.
The unique, interesting and beautiful nature of this area was also appreciated by the robber Hotzenplotz. Some of his numerous adventures with Kasperl, Seppel, Grandmother, Constable Dimpfelmoser and Widow Schlotterbeck took place along this path.
Have fun and enjoy yourself along the "Hotzenplotz Trail".
