The Rhine tour begins in Ihringen, the warmest town in Germany. From here, the route takes you up to the winegrowing village of Achkarren, where you can visit the wine museum. You then travel via the idyllic village of Bicksensohl to Oberrotweil. A detour over the serpentines to the Mondhalde vantage point rewards you with a fantastic view of the Kaiserstuhl and the Upper Rhine Plain as far as the Vosges mountains. After passing the wine-growing village of Niederrotweil, you reach Burkheim. With its listed town centre and town gate, Burkheim is one of the most beautiful places on the Kaiserstuhl. Back on the bike, the last climb of the tour awaits you in Bischoffingen. Afterwards, it's all downhill through the vineyards to Kiechlinsbergen, Königschaffhausen and Sasbach. The historic Münsterberg, which you can see from afar, leads you along the Rhine to the European town of Breisach. From here, you can relax on your return journey to Ihringen.
