Route II: To Paradies water gardens and Merkur mountain

This route takes you through Baden-Baden's town centre.

Browse the shops in Sophienstraße (-straße = street), past the Fabergé Museum, before ascending the steps up the hill named Annaberg. You will be rewarded for your efforts with the beautiful Paradies water gardens and fantastic views over Baden-Baden.

Continue along Markgrafenstraße, passing the meadow orchards, until you reach the lower terminal of the Merkur funicular railway. Why not take a ride to the top?
