The small valley route offers a connection from the Nagold valley with a gentle ascent on low-traffic roads via Berneck to the Black Forest heights near Hofstett. From there, the bike tour leads down paved forest paths into the small Enz valley and onto Bad Wildbad-Calmbach. It continues to Pforzheim and from there back via the Nagoldtalradweg.
On the small valley route, the cyclist passes highlights such as the gold town of Pforzheim, the spa town of Bad Liebenzell with its large spa park, Hirsau monastery, the Hermann Hesse town of Calw, the shepherd town Wildberg, and of course the bustling town of Nagold with its castle ruins.
The route mostly runs on paved cycle paths, partly also on gravel forest paths.

Wegbeschreibung
The small valley route starts in Nagold. From here, follow the signposted Nagoldtalradweg towards Altensteig. Shortly before Altensteig, at the Bernecker station, the path turns right towards Berneck and Calmbach (Attention: Nagoldtalradweg and the large valley route continue straight here). At this intersection, follow the green arrow with white arrow text "Enz-Nagold" towards Berneck. Then continue left towards Aichhalden, always gently uphill on a low-traffic paved road. Coming out of the forest, you will now see Aichhalden on the left. At the intersection before Aichhalden, keep right and shortly after turn left towards Hofstett. Shortly before Hofstett, follow the green arrow to the left and on paved forest paths into the small Enz valley and further to Bad Wildbach-Calmbach where the Enztalradweg is reached. Follow the signage of the Enztalradweg to Pforzheim. In Pforzheim, at the confluence of the Nagold, leave the Enztalradweg and turn right onto the Nagoldtalradweg. The signposted route leads back to the starting point Nagold.
