Todtnau Waterfall

From there, the stream snakes its way through the beautiful high valley of Todtnauberg, where it is joined by other clear mountain streams. It then cascades over a huge granite massif and across two plateaus into the depths of the valley.

The completely natural waterfall has been under monumental protection since 1987. It is one of the 10 most beautiful natural monuments in Germany. More than 400,000 visitors come to see this unique natural spectacle each year. In the cold winter nights, the waterfall freezes into a bizarre formation of oversized icicles.

Extensive building work has made the waterfall wheelchair accessible.
