The walk begins at the Geroldsauer Wasserfall hiking information point. From there, the route takes you through a wild and romantic stream valley, with its shady, primeval-like gorge forest, to the Geroldsauer Wasserfall. A few metres from the waterfall, you can stop for a bite to eat at the Bütthof forest restaurant before heading back to the forest car park.
This trail is particularly popular with children, as it is a gentle footpath over footbridges and small bridges with only a slight incline. For adults and flower lovers, this walk is especially attractive in June during the rhododendron bloom.
Important note:
There may be large crowds on public holidays and at weekends. If you want to make the most of your visit, visit the waterfalls during the week.
