"Solli, schän dass do bisch", which means "welcome" and the locals in the small, idyllic mountain village of Wieden, at the foot of the Belchen, will call out to you warmly.
Flanked by the highest peaks of the Black Forest, the dreamy mountain village is picturesquely situated in one of the many side valleys of the southern Black Forest. Clear mountain streams, lush meadows and pastures as well as numerous vantage points characterise the landscape of Wieden. Pretty, rustic Black Forest houses adorn the townscape, while cattle and goats graze on the surrounding pastures.
The village has preserved its village community and its historically grown cohesion over the decades. Whether at the regulars' table in one of the pubs, in club life or at the numerous traditional festivals and events - young and old regularly come together here. The preservation of tradition, nature and culture are important to the inhabitants.
