The Salvest game reserve is located between the Villingen and Unterkirnach districts. There is a large car park there. A short walk along a wide forest path takes visitors to the fallow deer.

The game reserve is accessible at all times and can be explored on a tour. There is no entrance fee. The children's playground next to the enclosure is ideal for a break or simply to relax. There is a carousel, a locomotive and a Viking ship to play on.
