The southern Black Forest provides a habitat for many rare animal and plant species, including the lynx and capercaillie. On this tour, the trail mascots Lüchsle and Füchsle guide us through fourteen interactive stations that reveal the special features of the region, impart knowledge and are fun at the same time!
Adventurers can hike along the route over moss-covered forest floors, past mighty rock formations and valuable deadwood trees that harbour new life. Those who prefer a more leisurely and relaxed pace can take an alternative route up to the highest point of the trail. From there, you have a sweeping view of the core zones opposite. You can enjoy this fantastic view before the remaining stations take you back to the starting point. Ancient giant trees, bubbling mountain streams, steep cliffs - on the five-kilometre wilderness adventure trail in the St. Wilhelm Valley near Freiburg, everyone can experience wilderness according to their needs.
