Wegbeschreibung
Wolfach - Staufenhof (11.5 KM): The start is at Wolfach train station. The route leads south from here along the main road and over the Kinzig. After the bridge, turn right towards Oberwolfach and after the school, turn right over the bridge. At the next MTB junction, turn right again over the bridge into the town center of Wolfach. There, turn left and before the "Stadtbrücke" turn right and immediately left again. Following the MTB signage towards "Vor Langenbach," turn half-left into the one-way street and then along the Kinzig on the bike/pedestrian path. Cross the bridge at km 2.6, then right along the sports field and at the next intersection left towards "Vor Langenbach" and follow the street "Vor Langenbach." At the T-junction, turn left towards Staufenkopf and after 100 m at a sharp angle turn right, then follow the Übelbachhangweg uphill about 8 km to Staufenhof.
Staufenhof - Heidenäckerle (17.0 KM): At Staufenhof turn right, pass the pond and at the three-way junction turn left uphill, follow the asphalt road to km 14 towards St. Roman. There, at "St. Romaner Höhe," turn left about 300 m to Kohlplatz and continue straight into the forest towards Teufelstein. At km 15 at the location "Vorderhals," turn right and follow the yellow rhombus towards Teufelstein. At "Teufelstein," continue straight on the MTB signage or towards the forester's lodge and at the asphalt road turn sharply right towards Elmlisberg.
Heidenäckerle - Wolfach (32.0 KM): At the location "Heidenäckerle" in front of the bus stop, turn left and go straight over the street following the yellow rhombus onto the gravel path. At the following V-junction keep left and continue following the yellow rhombus towards Elmlisberg. At the next junction continue straight on the unpaved forest path until it meets a wide forest road. Turn left here and continue following the yellow rhombus towards Elmlisberg. On the right is a sports field and then resting and shelter facilities. Continue slightly downhill past Gebelehof and Ferdishof. There, turn left onto the path which after 50 m turns into a gravel path. Follow the yellow rhombus downhill to the valley floor of the Heubach. Turn right there, descend the Heubach valley on a paved road. At the location "Vor Heubach" (km 21), turn right and follow the signs uphill towards Halbmeil or Wolfach. At the location "Vor Leubach," go half-left towards Wolfach, past the house, through the narrow alley, and at "Vor Eulersbach," turn left, go under the railway, then right to the bridge, over the Kinzig, and continue straight until B294. At the location "Vorder Lehengericht," cross B294 to the other side and turn right onto the bike path towards Wolfach. Follow this or the Kinzigtal bike path back to Wolfach and from the sports field follow the outward route back to the starting point.
