Day 1

Discover Baiersbronn

A trip to the nearby Murg Valley is a great way to start your holiday. The Unimog Museum will appeal to lovers of cars and technology. Fairy tales become reality at Eberstein Castle, and regional customs and crafts from history are brought back to life in the local history rooms. If you are in the mood for a bit more nature, you will be astonished by the 65m-high dam at the Schwarzenbach reservoir. For lunch, the rustic hikers' huts throughout the region provide an ideal spot.

In the afternoon, a visit to the Buhlbach glassworks is worthwhile. A journey back to the 18th and 19th centuries awaits, to when the glassworks was the largest and most important of its kind in the entire Black Forest. Did you know the modern champagne bottle was invented in Baiersbronn?

Day 2

Pure nature in Baiersbronn

After a day filled with culture, the second day in Baiersbronn is all about nature. In this hiking paradise, the stresses of everyday life are quickly forgotten. Sport-lovers can zoom down the trails around Baiersbronn into the valley on their mountain bikes before enjoying a lunchtime snack in one of the many huts.

In the afternoon, a visit to the Ellbachseeblick with its spectacular view over the forests of the Black Forest National Park is highly recommended. On the Lothar Trail, follow in the footsteps of hurricane "Lothar”, which carved a deep swathe through the northern Black Forest in 1999. Experience how nature develops without human intervention after a storm and with what power new forest emerges. In the evening, enjoy regional cuisine with products from the Central and North Black Forest Nature Park at one of the many local inns.

Day 3

Baiersbronn indulgence programme

Begin the third day in Baiersbronn with a wild plant hike in a culinary hiking heaven. If you want, you can have a trained wild plant guide explain the many different wild plants and herbs in the meadows around Baiersbronn, with small samples included.

After a stop at another hikers' cabin, you can really enjoy yourself in the afternoon, either on a hike in the healthy climate of Obertal-Buhlbach, or with a “Kneipp” treatment at the Kneipp health resort in Schönmünzach. Alternatively, many hotels in Baiersbronn also offer excellent wellness pampering programmes promising true relaxation.

The highlight of your stay in Baiersbronn is one of the excellent gourmet restaurants, where you will experience culinary art at the highest level. Your holiday in Baiersbronn will not be quickly forgotten!
