Day 1

Discover Baiersbronn

A trip to the nearby Murg Valley is a great way to start your holiday. Car and technology enthusiasts will love the Unimog Museum, while Eberstein Castle brings fairy tales to life. Explore regional customs and crafts in the local history rooms for a glimpse into the area’s past. If you are in the mood for a bit more nature, you will be astonished by the 65m-high dam at the Schwarzenbach reservoir, and the region’s charming hikers’ huts make ideal lunch stops.

In the afternoon, a visit to the Buhlbach glassworks is worthwhile. A journey back to the 18th and 19th centuries awaits, to when the glassworks was the largest and most important of its kind in the entire Black Forest. Fun fact: the modern champagne bottle was invented in Baiersbronn!

Day 2

Pure nature in Baiersbronn

After a day filled with culture, the second day in Baiersbronn is all about nature. In this hiking paradise, the stresses of everyday life quickly fade away. Adventure seekers can zoom down the trails around Baiersbronn into the valley on their mountain bikes before enjoying a snack at one of the region’s many rustic huts.

In the afternoon, a visit to the Ellbachseeblick is highly recommended, offering spectacular views over the forests of the Black Forest National Park. On the Lothar Trail, follow in the footsteps of hurricane "Lothar”, which carved a deep swathe through the northern Black Forest in 1999. Witness how nature develops without human intervention after a storm and with what power new forest emerges. In the evening, savor regional cuisine made with products from the Central and North Black Forest Nature Park at one of the many cozy local inns.

Day 3

Baiersbronn indulgence programme

Start your third day in Baiersbronn with a wild plant hike in a culinary hiking paradise. A trained guide can introduce you to the many wild plants and herbs found in the meadows around Baiersbronn – with small samples to taste along the way.

After a stop at another hikers' cabin, spend the afternoon enjoying  a gentle hike in the healthy climate of Obertal-Buhlbach or relax with a Kneipp treatment at the Kneipp health resort in Schönmünzach. Alternatively, many local hotels offer excellent wellness pampering programmes promising true relaxation.

The highlight of your stay is a meal at one of Baiersbronn’s excellent gourmet restaurants, where you will experience culinary art at the highest level. A holiday in Baiersbronn is truly unforgettable!
